So far we have learnt that the Red Cross are coordinating the donations. Drop off points are said to be in Pebbles Cafe, The Hook & Parrot and the Red Cross shop. The Gateway are also offering to be an Xmas gifts drop off point for those involved.

On social media site Facebook Seaton residents and those from neighbouring towns have all been offering clothes, toys, food and supplies but await to hear from a coordinater about the age range of those affected so that the items dropped off are of use.

A massive thanks goes out to the service crews; Fire, Police & Ambulance who dealt with the situation.

I truely hope that anyone who has been affected will reach out and accept help from us all in the community. Businesses and individuals all want to do what they can to be of support.

Seaton food bank have put out a post to ask anyone in need of food to contact them, they can make arrangements to help asap.

It is heartbreaking for these things to happen any time of year but being so close to Christmas it has, i feel, touched everyones hearts even more so.

To see all the offers of help and donations to those affected and to hear how many of the local businesses supported the services with hot drinks & food it really does show how lucky we are to live in such a fantastic community.

My thoughts this evening as I cuddle up to my young sons are with all those affected and their families. Please if there is anything I can do to help let me know.

- When I hear anything more about how we as a community can help I will update here
