Pop up shop space in Seaton, Devon

I started my business back in 2010, since then I've relocated, developed and adapted to suit the needs of customers and the challenges facing high street shops. I've always done my best to offer support to fellow business owners and start ups and with this in mind I'm currently considering letting a space within my high street shop as a 'pop up studio' space. As you can see I currently use the space to display some of my artwork and photography but due to time restraints and since selling much of it I will not have the time to keep up with demand and make enough products to fill the space whilst also keeping up with my other work commitments so the idea of letting the space on a temporary pop up basis seems like an idea worth exploring.

The studio space is accessed through the main shop, through double doors (there is a small step up) and it has an adjoining courtyard garden which I would be happy to also be used whilst running a pop up. An A-board could be put up outside the front of the shop to inform potential customers of what is in the studio on each given date. There are some display units currently in there which can be used.

This sort of opportunity might suit a small business owner who currently sells products online or at table top fairs but wants to run one off events so that customers can visit and purchase in person. The products do not need to be book or art related though obviously those selling items that appeal to book lovers and art lovers will have an advantage in that we have an establish customer based and presence that attracts customers who like books and art.

The person using the space would need to set up their own displays, be on site whilst using the space and in a position to look after their own customers and take payments themselves. They would also need to market their pop up to promote themselves to their own customer base and potential customers (which of course we would also do on our own social media too) because relying solely on passing trade doesn't usually work for pop up shops according to my research.

Dates and times of opening is something we may be flexible on and can work with the interested person on arranging something to suit.

At this stage we are purely assessing interest, is this you or someone you know may be interested in using?

If you would like more information please get in contact with us on info@devonartsupplies.co.uk or pop in to 30 Queen Street, Seaton, Devon, EX12 2RB to have a look at the space and discuss your interest.
