Ready Steady Paint - Children's art subscription box - REVIEW

I recently signed up to a new art subscription box for kids called Ready Steady Paint. As an art tutor to kids myself and an art shop owner I am always keen to find new ways to get my sons involved in arty activities so when I saw this new subscription box I had to find out more.

It has been developed by the SAA which I am an associate member of and know how fantastic they are as a company who offer brilliant support and top quality products.

The artist hosting the online content is Ali Hargreaves, an artist i've admired for a long time and know she has a background in teaching art so knew that the educational content would be good.

I was not disappointed, we signed up and though we obviously missed box one and hadn't recieved any kit yet we were able to access the online 'clubhouse' content, use my art supplies and get started straight away.

My boys loved the videos, they found them engaging and liked the fact that 'kids just like them' were there taking part too.

They did find some of the content challenging as they are at the younger age of the advisory ages (advised as for 6-11, they are just turned 7 & 8)

That being said a challenge is a great thing to help them learn and develop their art skills. I was pleased that they gave everything a go, even without the correct materials they did their best with what we had on hand.

This is Finley, my youngest who just turned 7 a few days ago. He has always been creative but this has shown an even more artistic style to him.

So a big thanks goes to Ali Hargreaves and the Ready Steady Paint team.
